1. Using Foundplace
Foundplace helps you save discoveries, organize them, and return to your research. It is provided by Erol Kütükcü, a sole proprietor in Türkiye. These terms govern your use of the app and related services. By using Foundplace, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
Use your own account and take reasonable care to keep access secure. You are responsible for the activity you authorize through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Foundplace is not directed to children under 13. If you are a minor under the law where you live, you must have any permission required from a parent or guardian to use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Agreeing to these terms does not replace any separate consent required by applicable law.
2. Your content stays yours
You retain ownership of content you own. Saving someone else’s content does not transfer their intellectual-property rights to you or to Foundplace. You must have the right or other lawful basis to upload content you provide directly to Foundplace. Saving a link or reference to third-party content does not give you ownership of that content or change the rights of its owner.
You grant Foundplace and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, transmit, display to you, and process your submitted content solely as necessary to operate the service. This includes retrieving source information, resizing images, creating summaries, and organizing your library.
This license does not transfer ownership or authorize sale of your personal data or advertising use of saved content. It ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except to the extent reasonably needed to complete deletion, manage remaining backups, or meet legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
The Foundplace app, brand, and service materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms permit ordinary use of the service; they do not transfer rights in those materials.
3. Use Foundplace responsibly
Do not use Foundplace to:
- Commit or facilitate illegal activity, fraud, credential theft, or unauthorized access.
- Upload or distribute malware, attack the service, bypass access controls, or abuse the service or other people.
- Store, share, or facilitate child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, other unlawful sexual content, or non-consensual intimate content.
- Seriously violate someone’s privacy, expose their private credentials or sensitive information without a lawful basis, or infringe third-party rights.
Lawful research is welcome. Saving legitimate news, research, or educational material about crime, politics, security, hacking, health, or similar subjects is not automatically prohibited. What matters is the content, its purpose, and whether its use is lawful and respects others’ rights.
We may restrict access, remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal obligations, or violations of rights or these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason. Contact us if you believe a restriction was mistaken.
4. AI, sources, and availability
AI summaries, interpretations, and connections can be incomplete or inaccurate. Check the original source and use your judgment, especially for important decisions. Foundplace does not provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
Third-party sources may change, become unavailable, or restrict access. Foundplace is not a guaranteed archive of an original website or an original-quality photo backup. Keep separate copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
We may update, change, or discontinue features. We aim to provide a useful, reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. Beta features may change more frequently. Where a material change affects a paid service, applicable consumer rights continue to apply.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
When subscriptions or purchases are enabled, the price, billing period, and any trial or offer conditions will be shown before purchase. Purchases through Apple are subject to Apple’s applicable purchase and subscription terms, alongside these terms and your mandatory consumer rights.
Manage renewals and cancellations through Apple’s subscription settings. Refund requests are handled under Apple’s applicable process and law. Deleting Foundplace or your account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.
6. Ending your use and deleting your account
You can stop using Foundplace at any time. You can delete saves and delete your account in the app, or request account-deletion help at support@foundplace.app. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account.
If your account is terminated or deleted, access to it and its saved library ends. We handle deletion and any necessary retention as described in the Privacy Policy. Content-license provisions apply only for the limited purposes described above; provisions about responsibility and rights continue where they are relevant after termination.
7. Our responsibility to you
We will use reasonable care in providing Foundplace. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional guarantees that it will meet every requirement or that all content, AI output, or connections will be accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We remain responsible where applicable law requires it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights, including rights that apply in your country of residence.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date above and give appropriate notice of material changes, including advance notice where required by law. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using Foundplace and request account deletion. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
